h4> A few days ago the Chinese and Austrian Academy of Sciences maintained a totally secure videoconference thanks to quantum encryption. Is an inviolable communication really possible?
The distance between Vienna and China became lighter a few days ago. Through a videoconference, the presidents of their respective Academies of Science, Chunli Bai and Anton Zellinger, had an interesting conversation. The communication itself would not be newsworthy if it were not for a curious detail: it is the first videoconference (at least official) that has been made 100% secure. Still does not seem impressive enough? What if we said that it is the first videoconference made through quantum communication? Let’s examine the implications of this milestone.
